Gaby's Journey

Dear Friends,
For the last 6+ weeks I tried to support Gaby during her journey through
the Bardo, making breakfast, lunch and dinner,
saying lots of “OM Mani Padme Hum’s”, thinking of her loving kindness,
missing her.
Her form was present all the time, her eyes, her gentle words. Our house
was humming with her presence and I was contemplating how to go on…

For the last few days I felt her form dissolving as I watched the
thousand-arm Chenrezig residing over her ashes
nearing the end of her 7 weeks in Bardo. Because I could not find her
form on the outside world I stayed in our
happy cave. As her form was also disappearing from our happy cave I had
to look to the outside.
There I could only see Chenrezig but with a familiar feel and energy of Gaby.
The thousand arms stretching out in all directions with loving kindness,
stretching out through a cloud, through a rainbow touching the earth.
The ocean of Bethells melting with the horizon.
There she is speaking through Chenrezig in my visions and my perception
of reality.

I see her in a place of union of bliss and emptiness with loving
kindness, a gift to us all.
During her last days when talking was difficult she asked Dorothea,
“Mum, why are you crying?”
With equanimity she received and the formless became such a clear light
permeating endless space
with no beginning and no end, conjuring endless emanations of Chenrezig
with an
inexhaustible amount of loving kindness.

We are crying because we want to be close to such warmth, bliss and
beauty, yet our time has not come.
